I got to go to Paris and film this car in a hangar. We used a motion control MILO rig and fed a prevised camera move from Maya into it. Then we changed it - It’s different when you have the real thing there. We shot lighting passes of the car, using hand-held flourescents to create a golden wash of light to mirror the sketch lines that appear. The whole clay-to-grass-to-concept idea formed over a hasty phone call as good ideas often are. The CG and comp teams on this worked amazingly hard on this and made some beautiful pictures. Lovely British DP Matt Fox took some time off sailing around the world to shoot this with me.
